The Role of The New York State Black Business Alliance (NYSBBA)

The New York State Black Business Alliance performs an essential role in the economic viability of New York. As affirmed in its mission statement, the NYSBBA is dedicated to creating economic equity in corporate business, fair representation in governmental policy and sustainable job development for African American communities throughout New York State. The NYSBBA also serves as an advocacy group with a 501(c) 3 tax exemption.

Our mission at NYSBBA is to uplift and empower Black entrepreneurs, ensuring they have the same opportunities, resources, and support needed to thrive.


By facilitating networking events, educational workshops, and advocacy initiatives, we aim to bridge gaps, inspire collaboration, and promote a culture of inclusivity and prosperity. Through strengthening Black-owned businesses, we contribute to the broader economic health and cultural wealth of New York State, recognizing that their success is integral to the collective progress and well-being of our communities.
